MD-4 · Mindful Dive Instructor™
Teaching and assessing the standard.
Sixteen modules: orientation, then fourteen on instructor identity and ethics, instructional design, teaching presence inside dive safety, wellbeing science in teachable language, scuba-safe breath education, the four-phase session, inclusive facilitation, demonstration and feedback, psychological safety, competency decisions, measurement ethics, quality assurance, instructor wellbeing and ocean contribution — plus the supervised Teaching Practicum, assessment and certification.
Practicum · observed lessons · portfolio · sign-off
The e-learning issues a knowledge-complete credential. Full instructor certification is completed through the supervised Teaching Practicum — observed lessons, a teaching portfolio and sign-off — with an Instructor Trainer or Mindful Diving Center™.

Safety first
Everything you teach sits entirely within your agency's standards, ratios and dive plan; agency standards and emergency procedures always outrank any optional practice. Slow, continuous breathing only — never breath-holding, skip-breathing or hypoventilation on scuba. Optional attention cues are removed whenever task load, control, conditions or procedure make them inappropriate. Instructor scope here is non-clinical: nothing in MD-4 is therapy, diagnosis or medical assessment, and no outcome is ever promised. Reviewed by the Safety & Dive Medicine Board.
